A great bar located in a strange transitional zone (it's odd how frequently good bars are found in such places). There's a skid-row mission, an improbable survival of old New York, just down the street. Largely, but not exclusively French speaking. Lots of French sports fans, who seem a different species. Lively and fun with great atmosphere (that I trust you can hear). Elusive bar chemistry. Highly recommended.
